This pattern uses a 1/2” (1.3cm) hem allowance.
Cut: 15” (38.1cm) Long by 6” (15.2cm) Wide.
- Fold in 1/2” (1.3cm) around 3 edges (leave one end out), and iron.
- Fold in 1⁄4” (0.6cm) under the fold and sew.
- On the last end fold in 1/4″ (0.6cm), iron and sew hem with one fold.
- Facing the hems together on the back side, fold the end with single fold edge down 4.5” (11.4cm) and sew across the width of the favor. Reinforce each side with a few extra stitches.
- Using the area below the beltloop stitch line, fold the bottom end up to the stitch line, mark the fold with a crease or removable mark, and unfold. This is your vertical center.
- Fold the favor from side to side and mark the center the same way as in step 4.
- Print the image (to scale below) trace it onto the favor lining up the centers of the pattern and the cloth. There should be about 1⁄2” space on either side of the image.
- Apply the image in whichever method you chose.
